1. Name
AGRO FIRST
2. Objectives
2.1. To promote the game of table tennis in the various district in the State of
2.2. To provide opportunities for our local senior players to play more competitive competitions so as to enable them to horn their skills.
2.3. To provide opportunities for the veteran players to foster friendship through table tennis competitions.
3. Sponsorship
The AGRO FIRST Penang Table Tennis Invitation is fully sponsored by Agro First (M) Sdn. Bhd.
4. Rules
The AGRO FIRST Penang Table Tennis Invitation shall be conducted according to the Rules of The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) and the following regulations.
5. Mode of Competition
5.1. The AGRO FIRST Penang Table Tennis Invitation shall be a Team Competition. A maximum of 7 players and a minimum of 6 players shall constitute a team. The composition of team shall be as follow: (Age count based on 1 January
Players 40 years & above : 3 players
Players 50 years & above : 4 players
6. System of Competition
6.1. Each team match shall be played in the following order:
Match 1 : Singles
Match 2 : Singles
Match 3 : Doubles
Match 4 : Singles
Mtach 5 : Singles
6.2. A player can only play in either the singles or the doubles event.
6.3. All the 5 matches shall be played off in the best of five games.
6.4. A team conceding a walk-over (due to the absence of player / players) in any of the individual matches shall be deemed to have conceded a walk-over in that team match.
7. Team Uniforms
All team players MUST wear their team playing attires for all matches and also during the Closing & Prize Presentation Ceremony.
8. Fees
Each team shall pay an entry fee of RM200.00 per team.
9. Date of Competition:
Sunday, 20th. December, 2009, commencing at 9.00 a.m.
10. Venue of Competition
Chung Ling Private High School Training Hall.
11. Tournament Ball
Butterfly 3 stars orange ball shall be used.
12. Awards
12.1. Prizes in the form of Cash Awards shall be given to the top 8
finishing teams as follow:
Champion : RM1,500.00 + replica
Runner-up : RM1,000.00 + replica
Third Position : RM 800.00 + replica
Fourth Position : RM 500.00 + replica
5th – 8th Position : RM 100.00 + replica
13. Disputes
All matters of dispute shall be referred to the jury and the jury’s decision shall be final and binding.
14. Protest
14.1. All protest must be in writing, accompanied by a deposit of RM300.00 and forwarded to the jury within thirty minutes from the occurrence of the incident. The match shall hence be played under protest.
14.2. If it is resolved that such appeal / protest is unfounded, the deposit shall be forfeited.
15. Jury
15.1. A jury shall be formed to manage the Competition.
15.2. The jury shall comprise of the following members:
Chairman : Mr. Yeoh Lip Khoon
Members : Mr. Tan Kheng Hong
Mr. Leow Lim Hai
Mr. Leong Chen Tak
Mr. Ho Chih Wei
15.3. A minimum of 3 members of the jury must be present to validate the meeting.
16. Right To Reject Entry
The jury reserves the right to reject any team / player from participating. Entry forms accompanied by entry fee and deposit shall be given priority over those do not enclose the entry fees and deposit.
17. Other Matters
17.1. The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss of property or injury sustained during the duration of the tournament.
17.2. Any matter not provided for in the foregoing regulations shall be decided by the jury whose decision shall be final and binding.
